"Sit Next to Me 2024" Exhibition Held in National Assembly

The Statue of Peace exhibition "Sit Next to Me: Please with Ari" was held in the National Assembly from November 12 to 14.  The exhibition was held to protect "Ari," the Statue of Peace, in Berlin, Germany. Due to the Japanese government's pressure, the statue is at risk of being demolished. We must prevent insults and defamation of the victims of the Japanese military sexual slavery system and protect the statue, a symbol of peace and human rights.

The sculptures that convey the meaning of the statue and the resolution of the issue of Japanese military 'comfort women', as well as paintings and photographs by artists who staged a cultural and artistic action in front of the German Embassy in Berlin last October to protect the Statue in Berlin, are on display at the National Assembly.

Please sit next to "Ari" for solidarity.
