On May 26, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida visited Korea for the trilateral summit between Korea, China, and Japan. On the same day, the Civil Solidarity for Historical Justice and Peaceful Relationship between Korea and Japan,  including the Korean Council, held a protest action and press conference in front of the President's office.

Despite the heavy rain, Lee Yong-soo, the victim-survivor and women's rights activist, attended the press conference and read a letter to Prime Minister Kishida urging him to immediately implement the judgment of the lawsuit against the Japanese government for damages won by the victims of Japanese military sexual slavery, an to apologize and provide legal reparation. After the relay speech, the participants concluded by delivering the letter from Lee Yong-soo and civil society to the President's office through the Yongsan Police Station.
The Korean Council condemn the Japanese government for stealing history, territory, and cooperation, and Yoon Suk-Yeol government for giving everyting to Japan, putting people's lives and historical issue behind.
As the two leaders prepare the Yoon Suk-Yeol and Kishida Declaration on the occasion of the 60th anniveseray of Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea next year, we urge them to set the Korea-Japan relation right.
