On August 14, the Korean Council co-hosted the 1000 People Declaration for the 79th Anniversary of Liberation.
Lee Hong-jung (Korean Peace Solidarity for Sovereignty and Reunification) raised his voice, calling for unwavering progress toward genuine independence, liberation, democracy, and peace, despite the Yoon Suk-yeol administration’s pro-Japanese subservient diplomacy, which undermines historical justice, and the regime’s ambitions for the permanent division of the Korean Peninsula and nuclear war.
