On Saturday, March 1, citizens across South Korea commemorated the 106th anniversary of the March 1st Movement by chanting "Manse(Horray)" in public squares and uniting in calls for President Yoon Suk-yeol's dismissal. The Korean Council participated in the preliminary rally, the โCivic Cider Party for Social Reform,โ and the Pan-Citzen March.

On March 8, during the Pan-Citizen March, breaking news reported that Yoon Suk-yeol had been released and walked out of the Seoul Detention Center. In response, the Emergency Action returned to Gwanghwamun after the planned march and continued to demand his immediate removal from office.
The Council of Emergency Action announced the start of a sit-in protest and hunger strike until the announcement of the court date of Yoon's impeachment. It declared an Emergency Action Week, during which emergency rallies will be held daily at 7 p.m.
Despite the cold weather, many citizens remained until the end, their determination fueled by the spirit that defended Namtaeryeong and Hannam-dong. The Korean Council affirmed its commitment to continue the fight for Yoonโs removal and historical justice.

The plaza was so densely packed that there was no room to move, and as the march extended into the streets, the sheer scale of participationโreaching one millionโmarked the end of the procession.
Citizens emphasized that life before and after the threat of martial law would not be the same and reaffirmed their resolve to advance toward a better society.
The Korean Council for Justice and Remembrance continues participating in the weekend Pan-Citizen Marches and the daily Emergency Action Rallies. Until the day Yoon Suk-yeol is removed from office, we will stand at the forefront in the name of justice. ย

Chants of โImmediate removal by the Constitutional Courtโ and โIs ruling cooking rice? Why the resting?โ echoed throughout nationwide rallies.
With slogans such as โWhy is he still president? Remove him now!โ and โLet this be the final rallyโtoward a new world without Yoon Suk-yeol,โ demonstrators filled the Plaza of Light in hopes of change.

ย As the Constitutional Court continues to delay its decision on the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol, the 17th Pan-Citizen March was held on March 29, with the Korean Council participating in solidarity. The rally began with a moment of silence in remembrance of recent wildfire victims.
โThere is no more time to wait, no room for hesitation, and no clever solutions left. After our struggles at the National Assembly, Namtaeryeong, Hannam-dong, and Gwanghwamun, the final battleground is now in front of the Constitutional Court.โ
Protesters urged the Court to recognize the time, urgency, and sincerity citizens have poured into the public squares, demanding swift action.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to truth and solidarity despite continued agitation from far-rights. โThere is no time to hesitate. Let us bring forward the time of removal,โ they declared.
