In celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the Asian Solidarity Conference, the War and Women’s Human Rights Museum opened the project exhibition “Asia連帯회의: Sympathy Solidarity Shakes the World.” The Asian Solidarity Conference is a transnational space that brings victims, survivors, support organizations, and citizens and activists in Japan together to seek solutions to the Japanese military sexual slavery issue. It had a significant impact on the domestic and international human rights movement, women’s movement, and international human rights norms, contributing to expanding awareness of wartime sexual violence and colonial crimes. The War and Women’s Human Rights Museum focuses on the importance of solidarity through empathy through the exhibition introducing dynamic activities of the Asian Solidarity Conference for the military sexual slavery by Japan.
